What is detailing?

Detailing is performing a very thorough cleaning process of the entire vehicle including the door shuts, wheels, wheel arches , engine bay and interior to bring the vehicle back to a better than new condition.

I use many fine compounds, polishes, waxes and sealants to remove swirl marks, holograms from bird droppings, oxidisation and light scratches

Nine Stage Washing Process

1. •Lower panels sprayed with citrus pre wash solution
   

2. •Wheel arches sprayed with degreaser
   

3. •Lower panels and wheels rinsed
   

4. •Whole vehicle ‘snow foamed’ and left to dwell for 5-10 minutes
   

5. •Wheels cleaned with Bilberry safe wheel cleaner
   

6. •Vehicle rinsed
   

7. •Bodywork washed with lamb’s wool mitts and PH neutral shampoo using the 2 bucket  method, intricate sections cleaned using brushes
   

8. •Windows polished inside and out
   

9. •Tyres dressed
   

Why should a new car be detailed? It should be clean and protected right?

1. •Unfortunately new cars are not made next door to the supplying dealer and have often had a long journey before they reach you. Many supplying dealers simply wash the car with a dirty sponge and chamois leather which means your new vehicle can have fine scratches on the paintwork before you take delivery. This is why they try and sell you packages such as SupaGuard or Diamond Brite at highly inflated prices.
   

2. •The New Car Detail will give your new car perfect foundation and protection for easier future washing and protecting your investment.
   

How long will a detail take?

1. •Economy wash will take 45minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes
   

2. •Mini detail takes 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours
   

3. •New Car/ In Detail are one day bookings e.g. 6-8 hours
   

4. •Premier Paintwork correction can take 2 days, but for vehicles with heavy defects, this can take longer and will be advised at booking
   

How long will the shine last

1. •The shine and protection should last approximately six months with weekly washing
   

Do you offer weekly/bi weekly/ monthly maintenance packages?

1. •Yes we can offer maintenance packages to look after your vehicle. This can be discussed at the booking stage or when I complete
   your first detail
   

What do you need?

1. •Space to be able to open the doors fully
   

2. •A power point
   

3. •A garage is often appreciated but not essential
